What's keeping this in place?
Where are legacy, capability gaps, competing interests, leadership dynamics or the operating model preventing movement?
What changed?
What is different about the market, client, talent, technology or environment?
What are we assuming?
Which beliefs about the business, its capabilities or the problem itself may no longer hold?
Before deciding what to change, understand what you're actually dealing with.
Most complex organizational problems don't belong neatly to strategy, operations, technology, people or governance.
They sit between them.
Understanding what's really happening means looking beyond the presenting problem — at what has changed, what the organization assumes to be true, how decisions are actually made, where capability sits, and what may be preventing an effective response.
